Upcoming Events and Offerings

Step outside the noise. Step into clarity.

At Inner Strength Counseling Services, I believe that nature, movement, and mindful connection can shift the way we carry stress, self-doubt, and overwhelm. Whether it’s walking a local trail, pausing in stillness at sunset, or gathering in a circle with others, each experience is designed to help you ground, reflect, and grow.

I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be when we slow down, breathe deeply, and allow ourselves to reconnect — with nature, with others, and with ourselves.

This Fall, I’m offering opportunities to join me outdoors through Walk & Talk therapy, mindfulness hikes, women’s circles, and community gatherings. Each one is a chance to find support, peace, and renewal.

Grounded Gathering: Mindful Hike, Face Yoga and Sound Meditation-Professional Networking

Are you a therapist, medical provider, mental health, fitness, or wellness professional seeking connection and renewal?

Let’s step outside and build community in nature—together.

Join me on Saturday, August 16, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Davidson's Mill Pond Park in North Brunswick, NJ for the kickoff of Grounded Gathering—a monthly walking networking group created just for helping and healing professionals. (Exact meeting location will be shared upon registration.)

This month, I’ll be joined by special co-host Manjeet, owner of Mooiez et Pure, who will guide us through Face Yoga and Sound Meditation. I’ll be leading a mindful hike designed to help you pause, breathe, and reflect.

We’ll walk approximately 2.5 miles at a casual pace along peaceful trails (easy, uneven terrain), pausing to ground ourselves in mindfulness and authentic conversation. After the sound meditation, we’ll wrap up with time to relax, connect, and deepen our community ties.

This is your chance to recharge, form meaningful connections, and care for your own well-being—surrounded by nature’s calming embrace.

Good Vibes & Real Talk

Mental health doesn't have to be heavy. What if it felt more like real talk over good snacks and better vibes?

I've been dreaming of creating a space where people can ask questions about therapy without filling out forms, waiting on hold, or wondering if they’re “doing it right.”
That’s why I’m teaming up with Good Vibes in Fords, NJ for a relaxed, drop-in style event: Good Vibes & Real Talk.

We’ll talk mental health, simple coping tools, and how walking (yes, literally walking!) can support your emotional wellness.

Good Vibes has yummy snacks and healthy drinks available for purchase. I’ll have a fun wellness game with giveaways and space to connect authentically.

Whether you’re therapy-curious, looking for support, or just want to vibe with a community that gets it — come by.

Walk & Get Inked for Mental Health on 5/4/2025 Recap

Walk & Get Inked for Mental Health — Event Recap
On May 4, 2025, community members came together for Walk & Get Inked for Mental Health, a unique event blending movement, creativity, and purpose. Through our group walk and tattoo flash fundraiser at Iron & Pine Tattoo Co., we raised $3,480 for HIKE for Mental Health — supporting trail conservation and mental health research. With the help of generous small businesses, nonprofits, and passionate individuals, the event was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when community shows up.

Rooted & Restored: A Nature Retreat for Therapists, Mental Health & Healing Professionals *

Held on Saturday, June 28, 2025
Hosted by Inner Strength Counseling Services & Gemini Sisters Farm

Rooted & Restored was created as a day of intentional pause—for those who spend their lives holding space for others. On June 28th, a group of compassionate and dedicated women came together to reconnect with themselves, each other, and the healing power of nature.

The day began at Sourland Mountain Preserve with a guided mindful hike, led by Diana Lapp, MSW, LCSW. Under cloudy skies and a cool breeze, participants released what no longer served them and welcomed in calm, peace, and an open-hearted presence. The trail offered moments of reflection, journaling, shared stories, and gentle silence. A highlight of the morning was the reading of “Lost” by David Wagoner during a quiet sit spot, followed by a meaningful discussion.

After a restorative lunch under the trees, the group continued the journey at Gemini Sisters Farm in Skillman, NJ. The afternoon invited a deeper exhale through a calming herbal tea ceremony, guided meditation, and hands-on sensory garden activity. Surrounded by nature, barn space, and playful goats, participants embraced the opportunity to slow down, be present, and receive. The retreat closed with connection, lightness, and gratitude as the group reflected on the importance of caring for themselves as much as they care for others.

This experience reminded us of the power of simplicity—breathing, walking, listening, being—and the healing that can happen when we return to what grounds us.

Stay tuned for upcoming retreats and events.
