Virtual Therapy FAQs
-
We’ll meet through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform at your scheduled time. You’ll need to be in New Jersey, Florida, or South Carolina for the session. Please choose a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable and can focus. For your safety, I’ll confirm your location each week in case emergency services ever need to be contacted.
-
All you need is a device with a camera and microphone (smartphone, tablet, or computer), a stable internet connection, and a private space where you can speak freely.
-
Yes—virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person. Many clients find it easier to open up from the comfort of their own home. I use the same evidence-based approaches virtually as I do in person.
-
If a tech issue interrupts our session, we’ll troubleshoot together or reschedule if needed.

Yes. Inner Strength Counseling Services is currently in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ, and Cigna through Headway for virtual therapy services.
UnitedHealthcare credentialing is currently in progress. Until credentialing is finalized, UnitedHealthcare clients may choose to utilize self-pay services or request a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on their benefits.
Walk & Talk Therapy is a self-pay service and is not eligible for insurance billing or reimbursement.
If I am not in-network with your insurance plan, a superbill may be provided for possible out-of-network reimbursement depending on your benefits. Self-pay options are also available for clients who prefer not to use insurance, prefer increased privacy, or do not have out-of-network coverage.
Walk & Talk Therapy FAQs
-
Walk & Talk therapy takes place outdoors in Middlesex County, NJ, and surrounding areas. We’ll walk side-by-side on a trail or in a park while engaging in therapeutic conversation. Movement, nature, and therapy combine to create a more grounded, open experience.
-
Not at all. Walk & Talk sessions are paced to your comfort level—whether that’s a slow stroll or a steady walk. The focus is on conversation, not exercise.
-
If the weather isn’t suitable (rain, extreme heat, snow), we’ll switch to a virtual session for that week.
-
Sessions are held on peaceful trails, parks, and gardens in and around Middlesex County, NJ. We’ll discuss locations during your consultation to find what feels most comfortable for you.
-
Dress for comfort and the weather—comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a water bottle are recommended.

Confidentiality is a top priority, but because sessions take place in public spaces, it cannot be fully guaranteed. We’ll talk through these limits in advance and I’ll adjust the setting if needed to protect your privacy.

Walk & Talk Therapy is a self-pay service and is not covered by insurance. Because it is an outdoor, nature-based modality, it is not eligible for insurance billing or superbills.
Many clients choose to use this service out-of-pocket due to the unique therapeutic benefits of being outdoors.
Virtual therapy sessions may still be billed through insurance if I am in-network with your plan, or a superbill can be provided for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your benefits.

Yes. In line with federal law, I provide all self-pay clients with a Good Faith Estimate that outlines the anticipated costs of therapy. This ensures transparency and helps you plan for your care.
Good Faith Estimate (GFE)
Under the law, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) explaining the expected cost of your mental health services.
You are entitled to a GFE if you are uninsured or if you choose not to use insurance.
The GFE will include an estimate of the total expected cost of services based on the information available at the time.
This estimate is not a contract—it is simply meant to give you clarity about potential costs.

Getting Started FAQs

The best way to determine if we’re a good fit is to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. This is an opportunity to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, my approach, and whether working together feels like a supportive match.
If you prefer a more in-depth introduction, I also offer a 60-minute Mindful Walk & Talk Consultation for $60. This session allows us to meet outdoors, experience the Walk & Talk format, and explore your goals in a more immersive and grounding way.

I work primarily with adult women navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, burnout, and life transitions. Many of the women I support are high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, or stuck in patterns of overthinking and self-doubt.
While my primary focus is supporting women, I also work with other adults who are seeking a grounded, compassionate approach to managing stress, transitions, and emotional well-being.
Together, we focus on nervous system regulation, strengthening self-trust, setting healthy boundaries, and building clarity — so you can move through life feeling steadier and more confident.

You can start by scheduling a free consultation through the Contact Tab or Start a Conversation buttons on my site. From there, we’ll set up your initial assessment and ongoing sessions.
